After you finished reading this you will accuse me of being unpolite and unconsiderate.. but please read it first.
Today is monday morning here early in the office, this particular employee is consistenty early and when he turns on his computer and run his application he ask me why is that his application menu is different. So I simulate what he is supposed to do and it turns out fine with me and he tried it again....
Mind you this application is a legacy program that its was made by previous programmer before we are employeed.
When he went to his table and try again to run the application, I take a glimpse in my window (because IT office has his glass panel as our window facing all users) it seems he is in the wrong menu of program... I approched his table and observe on how he is doing it. It turns our that his keyboard NUMLOCK was disable and when choosing in the menu he is using the numeric keypad, but since it was disable and he tends to press ENTER key... obviously it wil go to the first item in a menu.... oh my....
Do you see my frustration!! a simple user error!
Anyway, I tend to think that this kind of human error is very basic but if you combine user being pass the required retirement age, you will always expect this kind of call everyday!!!!
Yes you can accused me of being BAD but my lord god! Can they just retire and enjoy their remaining years in this earth?
